Top 10 Most Inspiring Books

Below are 10 books with a short summary made solely for myself to recall some points of the book. The books listed below are in no particular order.


1. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

Received this book from Alexis in 2016 but didn't read it til 2017. After reading the book some key takeaways are that a lot of people feel a calling to something unknown and sometimes travel the world in search of it, sometimes no search is needed because the thing you are searching for may be closer than you think. Also stay aware of certain omens.


2. Shoe Dog by Phil Knight

Read this book starting December 2017 after receiving the book as a gift from Alexis’s Grandpa OGO. After reading the book some key takeaways are that every business has to start somewhere and no matter what business it is, it will require hard work, perseverance, money, strategy, and people who believes in the same mission you do. Remember to build a business around a community (Nike = Runners).


3. Money by Tony Robbins

Listened to this book via Audibles 2017. After listening to this book some key takeaways are that mastering money is beneficial in ALL ARENAS. Going into the financial services industry is a good potential career. REITs, Annuities, Indexes, Roth 401ks, some Life Insurance policies, can be really good additions to most portfolios.


4. Zero to One by Peter Thiel & Blake Masters

Listened to this book via Audibles 2018. After listening to this book some key takeaways are that being first to the market has its benefits and its downfalls. Taking your time to develop a business is good but don’t end up aiming, aiming, and never firing.


5. The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg

Listened to this book via Audibles 2018. After listening to this book some key takeaways are that habits are great to have and hard to reprogram. It requires a habit greater than the existing to overcome the habit not wanted. 


6. Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari

Listened to this book via Audibles 2018. After listening to this book some key takeaways are that humankind has been through some shit and more shit to come with technology evolving at an exponential rate. 


7. The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham

Listened to his book via Audibles 2018. After listening to this book some key takeaways are that investments takes time and research. Dollar cost averaging is the way to invest and keep educating yourself.


8. The Virgin Way by Richard Branson

Listened to this book via Audibles 2019. After listening to this book some key takeaways are that corporate culture is super important and treating you employee, co workers, etc GREAT is the best way keep your business going.


9. Think and Grow Rich

Read this book in 2009 but had to come back to listen to it 2015. After reading/listening to this book some key takeaways are that the mind is super powerful. Spending time with yourself, taking moments to think before anything is key.


10. The Magic of Thinking Big

Read this book in 20010 but had to come back to listen to it 2017. After listening to this book some key takeaways are that my dreams I've had since I was 19 years old isn't ridiculous. Don't be afraid to think big.


Whether you decide to read the physical book or listening to it, it doesn't matter. The ability to absorb the information is really what is important.
